Galleri Andersson/Sandström in Stockholm has added Michael Johansson’s piece Self Contained to their sculpture park this year.
Stockholm is also famous for having hosted Niki de Saint Phalle‘s giant nana HON – en katedral at the Moderna Museet back in 1966.

Art is excellent and crafts are ok, but what really rocks my world is when people build entire dwellings out of trash. This one’s by a retired Serbian physics prof, Tomislav Radovanovic.
This is a shelter some people built to keep warm at Urban Ministry, a resource for the homeless in Charlotte, NC. If you live inside surrounded by warmth and stuff, you may not apprecaite those luxuries, but trust me… it’s cold outside. Instead of spending your money to buy more CRAP, why not donate some to a homeless shelter? Stop shopping!

Andy Warhol wanted to BE plastic. This could be him in another dimension. These “Obanten” are structures created by Judith Selby-Lang and Richard Lang using plastic trash collected from Kehoe Beach, Point Reyes National Seashore in Northern California.
These were my neighbors at Burning Man 2002. To enter the dome you had to crawl through a tiny triangle at ground level. The triangle was so low they dug a little hole in the ground beneath it to help people through.
